Spill

Being a final year student, I am supposed to be freaking out with studies and all.
Instead I am planning what to do after I graduate.
Taking one whole year of gap year, purely for travelling.
I would love to go to US again, travel NZ, backpack Europe with mom or go take a diving course, explore a couple of islands.
I so want to get out of the country!
I want to do all of this before I start my miserable routinised working life.
There are people that might judge me as being spoilt, irresponsible, immature.
It's an Asian thing. But heck, no fuck given.
There's this set of sequence of life that everyone is expected to follow.
Everyone is expected to get a degree, get a job, find a spouse, get married, have kids, retire, die.
This is a routine that I see on everyone, and I hate it.
Why can't I live against it?
I have only one life, and I want it to be different from everyone.
I've been cracking my head on how to escape this.
Some people might think that this is absolutely normal, but I see it as a depressing social norm that I must follow.
The moment when I graduate, that set of lousy routine is going to start in my life and I can't do anything about it.
Gap year is just my temporary escape from reality.
Guess I'll have to accept this crap sooner or later.

Prologue

It's been 2 months already.
I am almost depressed for not being able to go back.
I do miss the life in England, loads. And the most of it, I miss travelling Europe.
Although in the beginning I am not really used to it, I grew to loving it and refusing to leave.
Yes I know I should be loving my own country,
but let's face it, the grass is definitely greener on the other side and yes I am a realist.
I decided to start blogging again,
simply because I want to indulge in those fond memories that I had, especially my travels in Europe.
How I wish I could relive those 6 months.
I believe I will go back again.

Uni had started for 2 weeks already, it's a relief to see my old friends again.
It's really hard to believe it's my final year already. Freaking fast!
Fingers crossed that I would survive Year 3!

Oh well, life goes on.
All izz well.

28 Days

Hello Bloggie, it's been a while.
Can't believe my last entry was last August! Almost a year weh. *sweeps off dust*

So I was in Ningbo campus in China for student exchange and now in Nottingham.
My very last 7 days in Nottingham, and it marks the end of my student exchange programme.
I was busy planning my Europe trip, mom and sis purposely fly over early so that I don't do crazy shit like travelling solo.
Seriously, I do think that Europe is MUCH safer than Malaysia.
Heck, even China is safer than Malaysia!

My family and I do travel a lot, but normally we would just go by tour but every time it feels like I didn't see enough, it's all so touch 'n' go. So I've convinced my dad to ditch tour and just DIY this time.
Hope we don't end up stranded in some strange city penniless.
Planning is a bitch, I often find myself researching for a hotel to stay for hours.
Which hotel to stay? Which city to go? How many days here? How many days there? Blablabla.

It's annoying, but I do enjoy it.
Before this, I am not sure which country goes where in the map.
Now I am familiar with most of the cities in Europe.
Definitely the best way to learn Geography!

The voyage shall begin on the 21st June 2012, 14 cities, 28 days.

What are your rules?

Well said.
I live on these rules.
This is what I believe.
And I intend to keep it up.
This year is an emphasis on "Travel Often", next year as well.
Peace. : )

Longing for Paris. La Vie en Rose.

I am not really a fan of oldies.
But this song is stuck in my playlist recently.

Imagine listening to this song,
watching the night view of Paris.

That just made into my wish list.

La Vie en Rose means life is pink.
But I don't want it to be just pink, I want life to be colourful!

p/s: It's only July and I am already planning where to travel in England! London, Bath, the Cotswolds, York, Manchester, Warwick and so many more. Hope everything goes according to plan. =)

Where the hell is Matt?

14 months in the making, 42 countries, and a cast of thousands.
36 million views and counting.

His dancing sucks, but the video is cute. :D
Could I walk the world like him?
I believe I can.

p/s: A random quote from a friend of mine. 有时候看穿了,但不要说穿,是因为可以看得更透。

No, I didn't

I pretended that I forgotten,
because of what you said to me.
Period.

When the deadly sin of Sloth strikes

Exams are one more month, yet I am still in my Neverland.
I rarely study early for exams, even back in high school with those science subjects, not to mention Sejarah. Everything is done the day before.
Last semester was all about fun. I did it, with a Gold star.
This semester? Play less and work more.

Will I be able to do it?

One of my favourite little things. They keep me awake for hours, making my depressing tedious notes "happier".

Have you ever....

stick your nose close to the window of the plane,
look right down,
and imagine yourself sky diving?

I did. And I want to do it.

p/s: Just got back from Bali a couple of hours ago! Gonna have a post about it, hopefully. Just hopefully.

Questions,

Not all are meant to be asked.
As fear refrained me from doing so.
I chose to ignore.

Ignorance is bliss.

10 Things I did during 2010

I know it's late, but better than never right?
10 things I did in 2010, I am gonna remember it for a very long long time.

#1 Being a certified Lifeguard

I'm an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard! Got my training and exams completed in Schlitterbahn. Pretty new stuff for me, but I got a hang of it. Interesting I must say.

#2 Had the worst tan of my life

When I was working, I was mistaken as Mexican initially. Then it was Philliphino and Hawaiian! Never a Chinese, thanks to the sun in Texas! When I got back, my friends called me Jamaican. The consequences was awful, but the experience was worth it.

#3 Got my very first DSLR

Oh yeah! Canon EOS 60D! An awesome DSLR. Thanks to daddykins. =)

#4 Traveling in USA

In the midst of our working period, we went places around Texas like San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Galveston. After 3 months of working in Schlitterbahn, we went traveling. That's the best part of the whole Work & Travel! We started off with San Francisco, then Los Angeles, Grand Canyon and Las Vegas! The most amazing 3 weeks I had.

#5 First paycheck from a REAL job

Working for dad doesn't counts kay! This is my first hard-earned money, which results in high melanin in the skin, sun burn and awesome fun. It was $187.50 for working two days. Oh yeahhh! Can't get that kind of job in Malaysia. Tehee.

# 6 Made a couple of awesome friends, maintain some

One of the awesome-est thing happened to me in US. They come from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia! Quite international eh? They are my family and dorm mates for 3 months. =) Missing you people truckloads!

Need me to say much? As always and will always be.

#7 Turkey

I never expect so much from Turkey. The Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, the Cotton Castle, the Bosphorus Bridge and so much more. Well, I didn't get to go for the hot air balloon in Cappadoccia because of the bad weather, but I get to see snow! A lovely vacation I must say.

#8 Taiwan

My last stop after US was Taiwan. The first thought of Taiwan? FOOD! I went to the night market almost everyday when I was in Taiwan. Chow Taufu, Pearl tea, Ooh Jian and Fried Chicken Chop! Another month in Taiwan would mean buying two seats for my return flight! We meet up with a couple of friends we made in US, thanks for being our tour guides!

#9 Fashion with Passion

It may not be the best fashion show, but we tried our best! From the models and crew recruitment, searching for designers, having Marriot Hotel to say yes and bla bla bla. It's difficult, but we made it. Oh yeah.

#10 Bloggie
Created my blog. And yes, it's dying, trying to save it. Peace. : )

That sums up my year! I had a great year and 2011 is just going to be better.
Laugh as much as you breathe, love as much as you live!

p/s: Just finished my Business Law A, hope to get good marks. *Fingers crossed*

Verge

I am at the verge of slacking.
Waking up every morning is the hardest part.
Really, I just wanna stay home all day.
But boredom will kill me, boredom gives me depression.

When I got my paycheck,
everything is just worth it!
Just checked my account today,
970 dollars for working two weeks!
23 more days!

CHANG YI TING CAN DO THIS!

p/s: "He thinks you are cute, but he is shy to talk to you." =)
I just realized how I hate sharing. 8 people sharing one bathroom and one kitchen? This is considered insane for me. Especially when some of them are just so fucking inconsiderate and bossy! Eating other people's food without asking and denying it, whining all the time and being so filthy! Our house is trashed. Fuck it.

Abnormality

All Work and no Play.
All Earn and no Spend.

This makes me Abnormal.
Used to be the other way round.

I am going to be normal for a day tomorrow.
Going to San Marcos with my babes.
It's an outlet mall that sell bloody cheap stuff!
*excited*

p/s: I am a temporary workaholic because I am a permanent shopaholic. =)
